Jay Kiss

Jay Kiss is the cofounder of the Canadian Spine Institute and a specialist in spine health, movement, and human performance. For over three decades, he has developed a distinctive approach that blends advanced applied biomechanics, neuromuscular principles, and hands-on therapy to address the contributing causes of dysfunction.

Jay brings a diverse background in strength and conditioning, osteopathy, somatotherapy, posturology, soft tissue therapy, and applied biomechanics. Throughout his career, he has been featured in various media publications and has helped thousands—from elite athletes to everyday patients—overcome the mechanical and postural stresses that contribute to pain.

His clinical system integrates biomechanical screening, manual therapy, and movement-based rehabilitation to identify and correct the underlying mechanical stresses that drive pain and injury. Known for his ability to handle complex and persistent cases, Jay applies a highly individualized, results-oriented approach refined through decades of experience at the elite level. His work is defined by precision, integration, and clinical judgment—bringing multiple disciplines together to deliver effective, lasting outcomes.

He has trained and rehabilitated professional athletes across the NHL, NFL, CFL, PGA, MMA, track & field, figure skating, mogul skiing, short track speed skating, soccer, swimming, dragon boat and kayaking while also working with individuals seeking a deeper, lasting resolution to pain and movement limitations.

In addition to his clinical practice, Jay has contributed to the evolution of emerging therapeutic technologies, working with companies focused on supporting tissue health and recovery at the cellular level. His continued focus is on refining how the body moves, adapts, and performs—delivering sophisticated, results-driven care.
